Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. (Luke 3:8)
Lent is about many things, but 0ne of these things for me is reminding myself that I need to change. No matter how “good” I think I am, I have a long way to go.
It is a reminder for me not to take my salvation for granted. Not to lean on the seed that has been sown in my life, but to work out my salvation, and work on bearing fruits in keeping with repentance.
Turn, and believe.
